Green Day is an american Punk- Rock- Band!
Billy Joe Armstrong is the singer and plays bass , Tré Cool plays the drums and Mike Dirnt plays bass too. At first Billy Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and John Kiffmeyer( who was at first playing the drums) founded the Punk-Rock-Band The Sweet Children and before their first album appeared in 1989they called themselve Green Day.In 1990 John Kiffmeyer left the band and after him the drummer Tré Cool (Frank Edwin Wright III) got member in this band. At first they had many successful albums but the most successful album appeard in 2004…….<<< American Idiot>>>>>. The best songs of it are American Idiot, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake me up when september ends and Jesus of Suburbia which are my favourite songs too.In 2005 Green Day was nominated in MTV Music Awards and they got two Awards for the best video of the year which is by male singers and also for the bes Rock video. After it they published their second DVD Bullet in a Bible.
The name Green Day comes from a californian slang term for a day which is full of boredom and which is killed by smoking of gras<<<<<<Green>>>>>>>>> . This name was used after Ernie in Sesamstraße used it and the three members laughed so much about it that this name got to an insider joke for them. Billy Joe Armstrong is very popular and the people love him cause he always includes the fans in his concerts with singin, shouting and even playing the guitar on the stage with him.

Petzenkirchen, my home!
Petzenkirchen is a community in the ,,Mostviertel” in the region Melk in lower Austria. It’s area is 2,89 square kilometres big. 4,96% of the territory is wooded. 2005 the number of inhabitans was 1331.
History: In the antiquity the territory was a part of the province Noricum.
Our mayour is Mrs. Lisbeth Kern and our head of department is Mr. Franz Helmreich. We’ve got a castle, a bank, a bakery calls Haubi’s, a small shop where you can find everything, a primary school, a nursery school, a tobacco shop, a church which is in the gothic style, 4 inns, a cemetery, a doctor and a sports field but in summer 2007 it has been renewed near to Edichenthal. I’m happy to live in Petzenkirchen!
